We are proud of this feature of our studio – a group of six potters who share a workspace adjacent to our teaching studio. This eclectic crew helps teach classes, run the gallery, and keep the studio going. Of course it is their less quantifiable contributions that really matter – the salon-style shared lunches, de-briefs of technical problems, reviews of new claybodies (and movies), the encouragement that helps us all maintain & renew our commitment to our work.

Residents pay monthly dues and have opportunities to sell work and teach classes. They stay for a three-month term – sometimes this is renewed. Sometimes residents are ‘graduates’ of our classes. We think of this program as vocational training – you’re eager to have your own studio one day, and the residency gives you in-depth experience. The application process is informal, admission is rolling, just depending on when we have an opening.
